Mario Viezzoli
Mario Viezzoli was born in Trieste in 1948, where he attended the U. e E. Nordio State Art Institute. In 1970, he began his career as an industrial designer, focusing mainly on the home and office sectors. Over the years, Viezzoli developed a distinctive vision of the design process, consolidating a process capable of developing an object from its concept to its release on the market. From 1970 to 1981, he was part of the Studies and Projects Office of Longato Arredamenti in Padua, assuming the role of responsible coordinator from 1977. In 1978, Longato Arredamenti collaborated with Anonima Castelli for the distribution of the LS armchair, designed to adapt to both home and work environments. Today, Viezzoli is renowned in the world of visual art for his graphic and three-dimensional representations, which in the last century anticipated contemporary digital calculation languages. These works demonstrate a deep understanding of the technologies emerging at the time, anticipating many of the key concepts in computer-aided design today.
