Ferdinand A. Porsche
Famous German car designer born in 1935, he was openly recognized as a talented aesthete. Coming from an industrial background acquired first in Stuttgart and then in Ulm, he completed his training in the family factory where he designed the lines of one of the most iconic sports cars in the world: the Porsche 911. For Anonima Castelli he designed the Porsche furniture system, nominated for the Compasso d'Oro by the ADI and still known to vintage collectors as a sophisticated system of rotating components and hidden drawers. For Castelli, he also designed the ES executive desk, today part of a proud company archive that, like the 911 model for the automotive world, laid the foundations for a new generation of executive furniture.
